Our High School age Son had been struggling with Algebra last year, so I decided to seek help. I found Bethany and decided to have her try and help him. In the larger schools there are many students in a class, so if a kid doesn't understand something he falls behind because they don't have time to slow down and help an individual student when there are 20-40 kids in a classroom. After several tutoring sessions there was a significant improvement in his grade and he was starting to understand what was being taught in class. My Son has been working with Bethany throughout the summer and we will continue throughout the school year. So far we are very pleased with the Tutoring that our Son is receiving and we would definitely recommend Bethany to anyone that is looking for a good tutor. The Wyzant concept of scheduling and paying online was a bit confusing at first, but it actually is a pretty easy way to schedule and pay for his sessions. Bethany can also tutor in other subjects as well as math.

Our daughter was in an experimental class where she was one of 52 students in one classroom, that was in 2nd grade. As a result she was overlooked and fell behind, the problem wasn't as noticeable until 4th grade when she began to really struggle. Sadly, she had fallen behind a little every year. We tried to help with her work, we used flashcards, we even printed online worksheets but we were getting little results. It wasn't until we took her to Bethany that we found the problem lied within the fundamentals of Math and Language Arts being overlooked in the 2nd grade. We began tutoring in the later part of her 4th grade year, continued through the summer, and she is still seeing Bethany once a week. Our daughter is in the 5th grade and has maintained A's and B's all year, we are so proud. Bethany has done a great job identifying our daughters weakness' and began teaching her the fundamentals and has slowly worked her up to being comfortable within her grade. Getting our daughter the help she needed has been such an esteem booster for her at school. She now feels comfortable in asking questions when she doesn't understand, and she even answers questions out loud in class. If you think your child needs help, help them. It's been nothing but awesome for our daughter!

The reason I sought out Bethany's help was to aid my 7th grade daughter in regards to her paralyzing fear of speaking in front of people (i.e. at school, presentations in front of class, etc.) My daughter's personality is very shy--she observes, but does NOT participate!
