ADD/ADHD
As a certified special and elementary education teacher, I have taught quite a few students with ADD/ADHD. In my experience, students with ADD/ADHD just need to be redirected and encouraged in a positive manner to stay on task. Also break things down into smaller parts and complete tasks a little at a time. It is also a good idea to limit the distractions around you as much as possible. Sometimes it helps to use a different kind of chair to sit on, like an exercise ball or allow them to stand at their desks if they need to. These are just a few of the methods that I have used when working with students with ADD/ADHD.
