I feel comfortable in all elementary level subject areas but my passion is in reading, writing, and social studies. I'm a marathon runner myself so I love being active and energetic. I like to keep my tutoring sessions fun and interesting and always incorporate a lot of movement (not a sit and get type approach.) I'm big on communication with both the student and their family. I believe students need to know the purpose of our sessions (no matter how young they are) to be successful. I feel that my time spent teaching in a general education classroom (with 22-32 students at a time) has prepared me well for working with diverse learners in many different age ranges.
