I have been a K-20 teacher since 1995. I have taught 3rd, 4th, and 6th grade in California. I was a Literacy Coach for a small rural middle school in Florida. I am currently pursuing my PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at Florida State University. My research focus is on K-12 students whose first language is not English.
