Hi! My name is Jennie Spallone! I am excited to enable high school, college and adults with special needs develop their written and oral reading comprehension and communication skills. Originally from Chicago, I left teaching and recently moved to SE Florida to continue my academic tutoring and life coaching practice. I taught ADD/ADHD students in both public and private schools in the suburbs of Chicago. I tutored ADD/ADHD students for seven years.
Aspergers
I taught a high school student with Aspergers. I currently am a life coach for a young adult and am working with her on hygiene, cooking, telephone, grocery shopping, clothes shopping, volunteerism, and religious attendance. Her counselor says she's seen a 180 degree change in this young woman in the four weeks we have been working together! Self-esteem, independence, positive thinking.

I am a life coach and tutor of higher-functioning Autistic children, teens, and young adults. I work as a team with parents to out homeschooling, etc student on an effective schedule. We begin with self-grooming and performing chores around the house, then work on longer term goals. References are available. I have a Masters Degree in Special Education.

My son is 8 and has been at a Spanish immersion school. He has gotten behind on his English reading. Jennie is doing a great job teaching him reading and writing.
