Love to work with students who learn differently (including spectrum)

Hello: I am an elementary Intervention specialist teacher. I teach Reading and Math. In addition, I teach Hebrew. I love to teach and I love to learn. I love working with students who think differently and finding ways to help. Also, I am a certified Yoga teacher and worked mostly with children, so I am also trained to work with students who get stressed at school....

dyslexia

autism

My certification is in Exceptional Student Education in Florida. During my work at AEF, I had a classroom with students with mild and students medium Autism. The students with medium Autism were partially verbal but were not able to express themselves completely. It was a pleasure getting to know my students and learning to understand how they think so we can work on verbal communication using different techniques. Since each one of my students was unique, I enjoyed my 1:1 time with them. In addition, I have tutored students with Autism that could not attend a regular program and adjusted the curriculum for them.

ADD/ADHD

Certified for Exceptional Student Education in Florida. During my work with AEF Schools and as a Hebrew teacher, I have worked 1:1 or and as a classroom teacher, with children that have ADD /ADHD. As a certified ESE teacher, I am trained and have developed myself, strategies to help student with ADD/ADHD to get the most from their time with me.

Aspergers

I am certified for Exceptional Student Education in Florida. As a tutor and as a classroom teacher, I have gotten experience working with students who have Aspergers. I enjoyed those experiences because my students have taught me too. I have taught students with Autism Hebrew, math, science, language arts and reading and assisted them with their study skills. Some of my students found it difficult to be creative so we took the time to work on art projects and incorporating it into other subject matters.
