Nikki is a great tutor. My son has ADHD and struggles with reading and reading comprehension. His reading has improved dramatically and Nikki has worked with him on establishing techniques for better comprehension. She is very flexible, and is able to adapt her 'lesson plans' to deal with immediate concerns. My son was very anxious about an upcoming test, and when I mentioned that to her, she also worked with him on dealing with his anxiety and helped with test prep. I highly recommend Nikki, she is patient and engaging. It's obvious that she enjoys children and has a true desire to help your child succeed.

It's hard not to gush about every aspect of Nikki B.'s performance as a tutor for our son. He's an ADHD kid, which obviously presents some significant challenges at school and in tutoring sessions. But one of Nikki's specialties is working with ADHD students, and you can see why: She brings educational training, teaching talent and just the right warm personality to the lessons. With our guy, she's kind & patient, but when he loses focus or is just horsing around, she's also very firm and in control, so that they're able to advance with the session, keeping him on track (or putting him back there!). She's also very organized, making very good use of the allotted time, and incorporates visual aids, worksheets, and other materials to underscore the main points of the lesson, while keeping it dynamic and fun. "Fun" may be a surprising word to use in a review of a tutor, but Nikki employs end-of-lesson games with our guy, both as an incentive (if you do well & get your work done during the lesson, we'll play a game at the end, etc.), but also as a way to sharpen the skills that were the focus of the lesson. Anyway, I guess it's obvious that my wife & I are big fans of Nikki B. She's great.

Nikki is amazing. My son adores her and wants to learn. He gets so excited when she comes and loves his whole lesson. Nikki is patient, calm and gives constant praise. My son processes very slowly, he is dyslexic. I do not think we could of found a better fit for a tutor. I hope that anyone needing help in math will give her a try. Nikki has a very special way about how she handles children and works with them so effortlessly. I feel as though we have struck gold.
