Ryan has been an amazing tutor. My first experience with him was for a statistics class with a horrible professor. He was just as committed as me in trying to pass this class and to say that he went out of his way to meet with me is an understatement! I have never worked with someone so accommodating! He is extremely patient and if I don’t understand something he finds a way to explain it so that I do and he doesn't make me feel inferior in the process. I was amazed at how knowledgeable he was in the subject and am finding that to be the case in my current tutored class (chemistry). Overall my experience with him has been great. He responds promptly when I contact him, accommodates my schedule, and is knowledgeable and has the ability to explain things well. I don’t know what I would do without him!!!

Ryan has worked with both my daughters on algebra 1 & 2. Ryan is very interested in the success of my child with math. She has struggled with math since the beginning, and the school system pushed her along. Now she has to pass the newly instituted EOC's which asks them to have a knowledge base that was not being required to pass the classes all along. Ryan is such a great tutor. I have been having sessions with him two times a week since October. Since then, I have gotten nothing but 100% on my math tests. Ryan takes a real interest in how my son learns! He realizes that the same approach is not going to work for every student. After working with my son for just a few hours, he quickly recognized that he learns better with computer based approaches. Ryan is an excellent tutor. Before we even met him he ordered my daughter's textbook so he could prepare sessions tailored to her in-class lessons. Maybe this isn't necessary with all students/subjects but I think it has been helpful for him to have her textbook for this physical science class. He is patient and thorough. He even conducts experiments to illustrate points they are covering.

Ryan is amazing! I have so much to say and that is only after 1 session. I am older and have always struggled with "math". After meeting with Ryan, he made me feel comfortable and confident. He is professional and he REALLY knows math. He is helping me with statistics and he has gone above the call of duty. Even before we met, he helped me study for my first test via email over the weekend. It is evident he loves what he does. I work with children and I can tell he would be great with kids and I know from experience that he is fabulous with adults. He is very calm and teaching/helping just seems to come naturally to him. He listens to your concerns and formats your session according to your learning style. He doesn't make your feel rushed and is very patient. I can't say enough positive things about this tutor. I do not recommend just anybody so it is without reservation that I recommend Ryan to anyone who is looking for a tutor. He truly makes tutoring a priority and really puts his heart and soul into it. He is extremely intelligent but has a way of speaking to you like you can understand. He is very genuine and down to earth. In summary, I am a fan of his work, work ethic, demeanor, teaching skills and him as a person. He is a huge asset to the WyzAnt community. Thank you, Ryan! I would like to update my original review of Ryan. I am currently meeting with Ryan 3 days a week with at a minimum of 2 hour sessions. If I am not confident with the material or if I have a test coming up I will ask for more days or more hours and Ryan has always made it happen. If he sees that I am struggling with a concept or if I don't seem to be grasping what he is explaining, he will think of a new way to say it or a new diagram to draw to make it clear. Ryan will send me new problems to do or throw in a "pop quiz" on his own time via email. He has taken time to make flow charts to better understand the material. He is truly a gem and so very thankful that I found him. Finally, he is responsible for helping me bring my second test score up 2 letter grades from the first one. Thank you Ryan!!!!

It's hard to express how much Ryan has improved my confidence and abilities with math. He always takes great care not only to make sure that I understand my homework but he actually teaches each subject from the ground up and fills in any important things that I'm missing. He truly has a knack for helping someone see why a certain answer is the right or wrong answer. If I struggle with something, he keeps trying different angles until I get it. Then he tests me over time to make sure that I really understand and remember it.
