I love writing and tutoring! I am a part-time tutor, an attorney, a non-profit professional, and a parent--and I write all the time. Teaching and helping people to learn are among my passions. I have had a lifelong commitment to education and to language especially. My experiences in tutoring include a particular emphasis on LSAT, GRE, GMAT, and GED tutoring in individual settings. My students have been both native English speakers and speakers of English as a second language. My approach ...

Ms. Joan was very patient with me and explained not only her way of doing things but also ways that might work better for me depending on how I figure out problems. She came fully prepared with materials and not only gave me the knowledge to get the problems done, but the confidence to believe in what I was doing. By far the best tutor.

Joan was a great tutor who helped me work through LSAT practice questions and helped me get a better understanding of the material and feel more comfortable for my test. She was very patient and helpful through the stressful process of getting ready for the LSATs. She was an amazing resource and I highly recommend her to any one else who might need help with their LSATs.

Joan is a great tutor! She has not only helped me prepare for the LSAT, but has boosted my confidence. She is very kind and extremely knowledgeable about the test. She explains herself very well and is patient. She has taught me new LSAT techniques, which have proved very useful when I study!

Joan is a wonderful tutor. She was helping my daughter prepare for a test. She's very patient, calm and through. I will use her when it's time for my son to prepare for his testing and anything else he needs when he starts school this year. I interviewed many people and I know I made the right choice with Joan.

I have been seeing Joan for a while preparing for my GRE. I have to say that she is the best tutor by far! Very patient and she doesn't only help you with what you are having difficulty with but she also reinforces what you already know. Meeting with her is always easy and flexible with time and dates. I totally recommend her!!

Joan and I met many times before my LSAT test date, and in a few weeks, a relatively short amount of time, she was able to adequately prepare me with various methods for solving all types of problems. I found her approach to be very helpful, patient, and most importantly effective. She was always on time and prepared with supplementary materials to aid in a deeper understanding of the LSAT's contents. Having just completed the exam, I'm absolutely positive that I would not feel as confident as I do now had it not been for my sessions with Joan. I highly recommend contacting her if you're looking to take the LSAT!

Joan and I have only met twice for tutoring but I feel really happy about choosing her as my tutor. She's given me so much insight and recommendations in such a short time for my preparation of the LSAT. She's patient and very helpful. My experience thus far has been great! I'm looking forward to learning so much from Joan.

I have seen Joan for three LSAT tutoring sessions. She has helped me tremendously with the logic games portion of the test. Although I still have many more hours of studying ahead of me, I feel far more confident with the material thanks to Joan. Her way of explaining even the most difficult questions has helped me to grasp concepts I would be unfamiliar with otherwise. I highly recommend Joan to anyone planning on studying for the LSATs!
