I am a retired professor of finance who enjoys tutoring grades six through college in mathematics and physics. I particularly enjoy figuring out how to present topics in ways that meet the needs of particular students. I like to see the “light bulb go off." I have tutored or been a teacher for over ten years. Robert teaches tackling complicated problem sets and multi-layered applications in a manner that promotes accessibility and comprehension. He has a very kind demeanor, and his passion for math is both engaging and refreshing to experience. This is somebody who really enjoys teaching math. As you can imagine, genuinely enjoying your work is a sterling quality for a tutor of any subject to possess. This refreshing passion is an ancillary component to his skill of approaching the material as succinctly and straightforward as possible in order to make math simple and accessible to the layperson (me). I would highly recommend Robert to anyone looking for a great tutor with a kind disposition who is passionate about math. For reference: Robert teaches all levels of math, but we worked on business statistic concepts: linear regression, extrapolation/Interpolation, correlation, conversion of half-lives, exponential growth/decay factors, confidence intervals, margin of error in relation to data analysis and polling, reliability of sample sizes, logarithms, etc.
