I have a B. A. In Special Education and M. A. In Learning Disabilities, and I have taught children with autism during my 34 years as an educator. I have completed coursework for re-certification on autism. My son with autism did not speak or socialize in any manner until age 6. We attempted numerous therapies to improve his autistic tendencies and we continue to deal with social concerns and adjustments that need to be made on a regular basis.
