We could not be luckier to have found Nancy! Our son is struggling in school and was recently diagnosed with ADHD. We have been searching for help and then we found Nancy! From our first meeting I knew she was the answer to my prayers! She seemed to understand his struggles more then I could have even imagined. I doubt there is anything that she has not seen or done regarding ADHD / gifted. She understands everything from techniques, to the work, to the frustration, to the testing, to accommodations to the red tape in the public school system. I was amazed! Nancy had first session with him today. Just like I had expected from our meeting, she succeeded every expectation that I had. She was amazing with him. She worked non- stop with him for almost 90 minutes and kept him focused and on track the entire time. She has already made determinations about what techniques will work for him and understands his areas of deficiency, all why boosting his confidence. Although it was only our first session, I could not be happier or more excited about what I know Nancy will do for him. Thank you Nancy!!

I have decided to finish college at an later age which caused my math, reading, and English skills to become a little rusty. After speaking with Nancy she made me feel so much better about myself with just a phone call and also gave me the motivation to seek the hidden past knowledge. It is incredible to see that my child now loves writing after being Nancy’s tutee for a couple of months. Before, it used to be a semi-dreaded but required part of schoolwork. Nancy has been helping my child get over writer’s block and actually enjoy the writing process. We look forward to every tutoring session; it is truly amazing to see them work together. The brain gym exercises are a pleasant surprise!

My son has been working with Nancy twice a week for about a month now. Our initial meeting took place in a local library to make sure that everyone was comfortable with each other before beginning lessons. We approached her with the rather broad goal of providing him with more academic challenges and enrichment than he is receiving in school. She has been excellent at customizing lessons to his interest and skill levels, brings a variety of materials and ideas to keep him interested, and is also very good at being firm with him and keeping him on task when appropriate. She incorporates body movements into parts of the lessons, which is wonderful for an active little boy. He is excited to see her when she comes over, and so far has taken her advice and instruction more seriously than any previous educator, including his father and I. She has also provided advice to us as we advocate for him within the school system. We are eager to watch the progress he will make with Nancy as his tutor.
