I have certifications in elementary education(K-8)with a reading endorsement (K-12) and special education(specific learning disabled-k-12.I was a learning disabilities tutor in grades k-8 for about 17 years in both public and private schools. I have been doing private tutoring in reading,written language, and math since I retired in December 2010. I am also trained in Orton-Gillingham to help dyslexics learn to read and spell. My son has been going to Betty over a year now. He is dyslexic and Betty provides that special teaching he needs for his learning disability. Betty is very nice, knowledgeable about "Orton Gillingham," very patient with him and really cares about him improving. Betty is very organized and very reliable. I would recommend Betty for any child that needs the extra help that the schools cannot provide.
