My love of children and my natural talent for teaching led me to pursue a career in Education. I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Education for Special Needs. My teaching certificate covers certification in the areas of Special Needs and Early Childhood Education as well as an endorsement for English as a Second Language. ADD/ADHD
As a special needs teacher with a Master's degree, I have had many ADD/ADHD children in my class. Many of the students with disabilities also had ADD/ADHD diagnoses as well. With as much as 60% of my class identified and medicated for ADD/ADHD at one time, I learned many academic and behavioral interventions that can help them cope with their issues and succeed.
