I was born and grew up in Guyana, South America, the only English-speaking country on the continent. I attended Queen's College High School for Boys, the Government Teachers' College, and the University of Guyana. I emigrated to the USA in 1981 and resumed my teaching career in New York City in 1988. I'm Certified both in Guyana and in New York State.
