In the past 40 years, I've taught grades K through 12, all subject areas, in three states. I also taught my own five children at home for 25 years. My undergrad degree is in Elementary Education, and my Master's degree is in Education as a Reading Specialist K-12. Teaching my own children at home was very much like private tutoring.
