Aspergers
I have worked with children with special needs for many years. Specifically, as a Humanities teacher I have worked with and taught adolescents with Aspergers Syndrome. Being the Learning Support Coordinator for the last four years at the private high school where I am employed, I have not only taught adolescents with Aspergers, but also have worked closely with educational psychologists in considering the academic, social, and emotional needs of these students. In consultation with the psychologist I then develop and help to implement a Successful Learning Plan for the student.
