For my experience, I've tutored an elementary student in reading and computer skills, as well as some mentally handicapped high school students. I worked with the elementary student on his reading speed and comprehension, as well as on his willingness and ability to pay attention to what he was reading. I worked with the high school students on activities that their disabilities were suited for, such as simple mathematics. My methods would definitely depend upon the child I was tutoring....
