ADD/ADHD
In my coursework for Masters of Science in Special Education and Learning Disabilities, I learned extensively about how to modify material to best support students with learning disabilities. Included in both my coursework, training, and experiences, I've learned to modify content in a way that provides necessary structure for ADD/ADHD students. I've learned how to create organization for mapping thought processes and content. I've found that students with these modifications are able to sit for longer and better focus on the task at hand.

Aspergers
Throughout my life, I've worked with people on the Autism spectrum. As a special needs counselor at Camp Ramah in California, I've helped children develop their communication and social skills. I've learned how to connect with people with Asbergers to communicate effectively. Furthermore, in my coursework at Hunter College, we learned about Aspergers and techniques we can use to develop their social skills.

As a special needs counselor at Camp Ramah in California, I've worked with several people on the Autism spectrum. Depending on the person, I helped develop manageable goals to help develop their ability to communicate. I've personally developed skills to connect with Autistic people to help develop mutual understanding.
