I have always wanted to be a teacher. I am currently a second grade teacher. Prior to teaching second grade, I taught preschool special education. I have been teaching for 7 years. During that time I have gained a great deal of strategies and techniques to help all learners learn. I feel all learners learn at their own pace, and in their own style. I taught a special education class for 3 years. I have experience differentiating instruction to fit students individual needs and accommodate their IEPs. I use a variety to techniques, verbal, visual, and kinesthetic, to help students stay on task while I work with them.

I have implemented visual schedules, verbal and visual cues, behavior plans, social stories, and other types of differentiated instruction.
