Alaa was wonderful and patient with the new material I did not know, and explained things slowly and carefully in Palestinian dialect.

We discussed basic background information and general getting acquainted information. Alaa is very patient waiting for the student to find the appropriate words and correcting pronunciation and usage. He has helped me bring Arabic forward from the back of my memory!

I have been trying to find Arabic lessons and I have taken two with Alaa so far. He is very flexible as he finds the way that you are most comfortable learning whether it is spoken Jerusalem Arabic or Fusha, taught verbally or from the book. Alaa is a native speaker and he is very helpful when it comes to the proper pronunciation and structure of the words. I would definitely recommend.

Brittany P. from Vinton, VA

Very patient while helping with pronunciation of words. Broke down words to help with understanding. Helpful with feminine and masculine differences.

Alaa is a very encouraging tutor. He is ready to teach an Arabic curriculum that meets your needs; whether you want to learn everyday spoken Arabic (Levantine) or more Classical Arabic, he is more than accommodating to teach either. I highly recommend!

Alaa Q. is teaching my young daughter Arabic. She had a very good first lesson and was enthusiastic about what she learned. She was explaining what she had learned to her sisters with a lot of enthusiasm. My daughter said that Alaa was easy to understand and very nice. She was extremely happy with her lesson.

Alaa is an excellent language tutor. I've worked with roughly half a dozen Arabic tutors in the past 3 years and Alaa easily outshines them all by comparison. When we meet, we usually just practice conversation (my preference) but he also is attentive to explain grammar and vocabulary issues. Alaa speaks clearly and intentionally enunciates difficult syllables in a manner most Arabic speakers overlook when tutoring a language-learner. Alaa also demonstrates patience and an encouraging spirit, both of which are uplifting for students. I strongly recommend Alaa for any beginner, intermediate or advanced Arabic speaker.

I highly recommend Alaa for Arabic tutoring. He is professional and engaging. My 14 year old enjoys her weekly lessons with him and he is fabulous about being flexible if her crazy schedule needs to change last minute. We really appreciate that. Alaa uses a book to follow for as his curriculum and that has worked well. Again, we have really enjoyed working with Alaa and plan to continue weekly lessons to keep up our daughter's language skills as best we can.
