Ivy League Grad, Former Principal, University Faculty!

I have taught 5th grade, 7th grade, college-level classes, and was a Principal for 7 years. I also used to manage the standardized testing program for a prominent Chicago private high school. I am a graduate of an east coast ivy league school, but have been in Chicago since grad school. Although I was a Principal, I am not mean!! I will work with you to achieve the academic goals you have. I love young people, including elementary, high school and college students. I have three children ...

I can't believe how kind, sweet, and patient she is with my daughter. She is a very special person...and very smart!!! Katie is learning so much from her. I hope she continues to tutor children, because she definitely has a gift. Thanks for finding her for us!

Courtney has tutored me in preparation for my GED. I came to her because I wanted someone who could help me speed up my learning process. The combination of being from another country (thus a different educational system) plus having Attention Deficit Disorder has often stopped my studies dead in their tracks. My weakest subjects have been math and writing. SHE HAS HELPED ME WITH EVERYTHING! Not only was she great at teaching an adult learner but she really understood that I might approach certain subjects differently. She helped me to learn using the methods that worked best for me. She's very supportive and I'm all the better for having worked with her. Without hesitation, I recommend Courtney to anyone seeking a professional and experienced educator.

We remain delighted that Courtney is our son's pre-algebra tutor and that her assistance enhances his learning and keeps him accountable

Courtney has a very patient, yet innovative style of tutoring. Courtney currently tutors my 7 year old daughter in math, once a week. My daughter gets along very well with Courtney, and constantly talks about her "tutor" to anyone that will listen. In the short time that she has worked with Courtney, I have seen tremendous improvement in my daughter's math skills. In one instance my daughter recd a timed mathematics quiz at school, in which she did not score very well (60%). She got several of the problems wrong, and was unable to finish the test. This was before Courtney. Once I met with Courtney and explained the problem areas that my daughter was having in math, Courtney reassured me that she would do her best, to help my daughter in math. Needless to say....2 weeks later, my daughter took a similar test....82%! We owe a large portion of this score to Courtney, and we will continue to allow her to tutor my daughter long after she has "aced" mathematics. Highly recommended!

My daughter and I have employed Courtney F through WyzAnt for the past two years. Courtney's tutoring of my grandson made a huge difference in not only his grades, but also in his confidence as a student. We are extremely pleased with her teaching methods along with the positive results that we have seen in my grandson. My grandson looks forward to having Courtney review his lessons with him. We love the fact that Courtney never missed a scheduled day and arrived on time. During the end of the school term, we needed some additional assistance and she rearranged her schedule to help my grandson during finals. May God Bless Courtney for the good things she has taught my grandson.

Courtney F has been a lifesaver for our family. She helped my grandson bring his math grade from an F to a B after just a few sessions. She's phenomenal!

We loved our math session with Courtney. Our daughter was relaxed, inspired and thrilled to learn. She can't wait to work with Courtney again.

My son worked with Courtney to prepare for the writing portions of the ACT and SAT. I actually teach college writing, but sometimes what is hard to take from a mom comes much easier from someone else. Since I teach writing, I can say that Courtney clearly knew what she was doing when she worked with my son. My son reported that Courtney was "personable, not intimidating or demeaning," that she had a comprehensive understanding of writing for the tests (beyond what he could find online or from test prep books), and that she is good at explaining the rules while also showing how they did not have to constrict his ability to express himself. Courtney was also a pleasure to work with, responding quickly to my queries, sending me thoughtful assessments of my son's progress, and being understanding when he had to cancel at the last minute. I highly recommend her.

We used Courtney's help to prepare for a writing portion of ISAT exam. She was very efficient, always had each session planed ahead and it worked! My daughter had worked with Courtney for just four weeks and it helped her to get from 2 to 4 on ISAT extended reading response. Thank you! Would highly recommend Courtney to anybody who is looking to boost their writing score.

Our 8 year old is in a CPS selective enrollment school and we found that the old way of doing math differs from the common core way of doing it. Courtney F. to the rescue. She is very professional and patient with our daughter.
