I am a certified elementary teacher with four years of experience as an elementary school teacher (3 years of middle school Language Arts and Reading and one year of all subjects) as well as seven years as a substitute teacher, three years as a reading tutor for small groups and one year as a math tutor for small groups (Title I grades Kindergarten through Eighth), and three years of individual tutoring in all elementary subjects. I am certified in Middle School Social Studies with the state of Illinois. I have a BA in Social Science, which included courses in government, philosophy, psychology, sociology, history, and anthropology. I completed an elementary certification program at Northeastern Illinois University with a history minor. My courses include History of Precolonial SubSaharan Africa, US History, Western Civilization, Church History: World, United States, Great Britain, and India; and History of Christian Missions.

My two daughters enjoy their time with Edith. My younger daughter gets excited every Saturday morning and looks forward to her session with her.
