I have a Bachelor's Degree in Theater from Cleveland State University, where I focused primarily on directing. Since moving to Chicago, I was involved in forming two small theater troupes: Wild Onion Theater, which did experimental, audience interactive theater, in the 80's, and I have been a writer, co-producer, director, and actor for Democracy Burlesque, a political sketch comedy troupe for the past 8 years. When my children were in grade school, I coordinated a drama program with the classes, incorporating theater games and exercises.
