Not satisifed with your child's K-8 instruction?
Greetings Parents/Guardians, I would like to start off by introducing myself. My name is Alicia and I am a certified Type 03 elementary teacher. I received my Bachelor's degree in 2011 from the University of Illinois at Urbana. I decided to become an educator because I enjoy helping children learn things they never thought they could and instilling the confidence in them that they need to prosper. I am confident that I would be the ideal tutor for your child and I will do my best to provide...
ADD/ADHD
I have worked with students in grades K-6 with severe ADD/ADHD. I have had experiences with students throwing chairs, knocking over cots, jumping on top of desks, yelling in students' faces, spinning around on the floor, biting adults, and students who need lose focus easily in school settings. I have taught in inclusion elementary classrooms with 30 children while still meeting the needs of these students.

Alicia is able to work well with my son. She gets him to do assignments that he otherwise would not be able to do, even with his teachers from school.

Alicia is very patient with my daughter. My daughter has gained more confidence and is motivated to initiate her own learning. The other day my daughter came to me and said, "Mommy, I know my time tables by 12". She recited them and was so happy.
