I am a patient, easy-going tutor for statistics and economics who has had considerable success in the past working with those who have math phobias (including grade schoolers). I like to connect coursework with real world examples to make a subject more understandable and relevant. I possess economics-related bachelor's and master's degrees from DePaul University, and have had over ten years of experience as a federal government Economist/Statistician....

ACT Reading
ACT English
My approach to English, as well as other subjects, is to stress patience and allow students to proceed at their own pace. I have successfully tutored grade school and high school students from widely differing backgrounds.
elementary math
I have successfully worked with elementary students in the past, tutoring both math and reading. This includes working with students under No Child Left Behind and also with those who have math phobias using a very patient approach.

statistics
I have over ten years of experience as a statistician with the federal government and studied statistics at the graduate level as part of my M.A. program. I have had good success working with students who are non-math-oriented.
prealgebra
My approach to tutoring prealgebra, which I have done to both grade school students and adults, emphasizes thoroughness and patience--letting the student proceed at the rate he or she desires. I also try to bring in real world examples to make the subject matter more easily understandable and relevant.

I really enjoyed Edward S. for my tutoring because he showed me that he has patient when it comes to working with clients. If I need him again for one of my classes I would select him and also pass his name to others that need help in the subject he is qualify for. Thanks Edward for your help keep up the good work.
