I am a recently retired, 25+ year elementary education teacher. I taught in one of the best school systems in the country: Valparaiso, Indiana. My school was a Four Star and a Blue Ribbon School consistently, based upon our achievement on the ISTEP, state mandated test of student performance on the Core Standards.
