I am a retired CPA and have spent almost my entire adult life helping children. I spent three years in the US Army and then went to Indiana University where I graduated magna cum laude. I was in the Big Brothers program for over twenty years. After retiring in 2000, I spent seven years as a volunteer tutoring children one on one in the Plainfield elementary school system. As mentioned previously, I graduated magna cum laude with a degree in accounting from Indiana University. I then passed the CPA exam and worked as a CPA until I retired at the age of 55. I was very fortunate to have a job where I was able to retire at such an early age and pursue other interests. I also served in the military for three years. I was assigned to work in finance while in the military. The military sent me to finance school where my test scores were the highest of anyone in the class.

Leslie has been helping my daughter with an introductory accounting class for non-majors of accounting. It has proven to be quite a challenge for her. Leslie has been very patient with her.
