I taught public middle school language arts/ English for 6 years. I decided to stay home when I had my first child. When both of my children became school age I went back to work part time as a Title 1 teacher in a private school. I taught public middle school for 6 years. Within those six years I have taught several students who have Autism Spectrum Disorder. I understand many strategies and methods that are needed to approach these students when learning. I have also completed a class at Grand Canyon University on Autism Methods and Practices. I use my autism methods and practices everyday: I have a nine year old son who is on the Autism Spectrum Disorder. I would say I am more than qualified to tutor children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder.
