Elementary Tutor
Hi, I'm Ashley! I am a second grade teacher in Massachusetts. I love teaching and find my passion is working with struggling students. I love helping my students feel more confident and successful in their learning. I have just finished obtaining my CAGs as a reading specialist through Fitchburg State University. Reading is my specialty, but I love math as well. I am willing to tutor for homework help, developing skills, teaching new skills, and test prep for MCAS or PARCC....
ADD/ADHD
I have been en elementary teacher for the past three years and was previously a kindergarten title I tutor for a year. I have taught second grade for two years and first grade for one year. I have my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in literacy from Lesley University and am currently attending Fitchburg State to receive my CAGs as a reading specialist. Throughout my years teaching, I have attended professional development opportunities that focus on strategies to use with students who have ADD/ADHD. I also have first hand experience teaching children with ADD/ADHD.
