Students of science learn facts and vocabulary first; then they must organize and process this new knowledge to answer practical questions. I teach systematic methods of problem solving and give students practice in speaking the language of science to reinforce learning. My goal is to give students the skills and confidence to conquer those problem sets and perform up to their full potential on tests. Rosalind taught me the analytical work through to an issue I was having with a very difficult matter regarding the evaporation of ammonium hydroxide, she covered all angles that were required and possibilities of finding a theoretical solution.
