Math, Music, Language, and Dance Tutor

I found my knack for tutoring when I was in grade school assisting fellow students with their assignments, as I was always the first one done, and the teacher asked me to use the rest of the time to help my classmates. I was best at math and science, and I particularly enjoyed tutoring math. I attended the Mass Academy of Math and Science, a high school for gifted students. I have been tutoring math, science, and English since 2008 and my students have all vastly improved their grades and ...

Sharon was a pleasure to work with. She is highly intelligent, gifted, and very professional. She not only worked with my daughter (who has a learning disability) but also with me so that I would better be able to help my daughter learn. I found Sharon to be flexible in her scheduling, even allowing for last minute changes in appointment times. She was easy to contact, and returned my calls promptly. She also has a lovely personality! Although we are no longer in need of a tutor at this time, I would hire Sharon again in a heartbeat. I highly recommend her! Sandra Johnson

Sharon is a great tutor. She has helped my stepson advance and learn in math and other subjects as well. He loves working with her and she is very patient. I would recommend her to anyone who needs a tutor.

Sharon has been tutoring our 7th grade daughter since last spring. The focus is math but Sharon is great with overall study skills and helps with science, social studies and even french. Her flexibility has been great! Our daughter now saves specific items to talk through with Sharon in both math and other subjects each week. We highly recommend Sharon!

Sharon helped my 3rd grader and 1st grader stay one step ahead of the lessons they were receiving in school. Given their young age and the fact that their lessons started at 5:00, they sometimes ran out of steam and could get rather antsy. Sharon remained very patient and was never out of ideas as to how she could regain their focus and keep the lessons moving. She's a great tutor and when the need arises I will definitely be contacting her again!

My daughter is very pleased with Sharon. She is a very talented teacher. Sharon has been working with my daughter over 19 months. She has great patience with her lessons and often helps with my daughter’s orchestra pieces in the middle school. Sharon knows how to teach certain things in an easy to understand way for her students.

I was VERY impressed with her. She was punctual and got right down to business. She was very clear in her explanations to my daughter. She also established an action plan for studying for the SAT that my daughter could pursue between one lesson and the next. She made the studying seem manageable for my daughter.

My 12 year old's first private lessons with Sharon have had immediate, noticeable improvement both playing and practicing. Sharon's careful analysis of Amy's level and ability has let her design both constructive lessons and homework. Amy looks forward to seeing Sharon. Great Teacher!!

My daughter had some problems with math at the end of last school year. I thought tutor would be a great solution to help her to catch up before school starts. On the way to her first class my 15 year old started to argue with me that she will be fine with after school help and she does not need a tutor. Sharon has a great knowledge of how to talk to teenagers. It's really a miracle. Considering that my daughter did not want to get out of the car for the first lesson, now she is looking forward to each class with Sharon. I could see the results already - my daughter became more organized, gets her questions for Sharon ahead of time, and her grades went up. Sharon offered her help in between the classes over the phone or email, which is very convenient if my daughter has a question and needs help before the next class. Sharon is a very pleasant, knowledgeable teacher and has great personality. Downside- she does not come to your house. We have to drive to Weston for classes.

Sharon has been amazing over the years with both of my children. She makes herself available to help when certain material can be extra difficult to get through recently during deadlines and catch up work. She gives them a better understanding, confidence and self help tools they can use on their own.

Algebra 2 has been a struggle for our inpatient high schooler, but working with Sharon has given her clarity & confidence in the subject. She walked out of a session with Sharon and said, "I get it!" Thanks Sharon!
