My Master's Degree is in Special Education, and I hold MA Teaching Certifications in Moderate Disabilities, Grades Pre-K-8, and 5-12. I have been teaching students with disabilities at the middle and high school level since 2007. Additionally, I am the Head of the Special Education Department at my high school where I not only manage a caseload of 180 students where a fair percentage of those students have ADD/ADHD, but also teach three special education classes each day, and provide accommodations/modifications and support to the students. My teaching/tutoring methods include building confidence, explicitly teaching concepts, organizational skills and study skills, as well as the use of graphic organizers.
