Eric
Old School Tutor
Students enjoy my sense of humor. Fellow teachers report that my high school classes feel like a college classroom. I strive to combine fun and rigor while teaching while trying to impart both an understanding and an enthusiasm for each subject I teach. Like Aristotle, my hero, I seek expertise in many branches of knowledge. My philosophy is his, that "all people by nature desire to know." I have had the distinct pleasure of seeing many of my former students go on to become teachers ...

Eric is an excellent tutor. My son was not at all interested in math. It was hard and frustrating, and his problems with math were affecting his overall view of school. After his first lesson with Eric, I began to see a rapid improvement in his whole outlook towards school. I don't know exactly what Eric did, but after he had left that day, my son kept telling me about some mathematical concept that he had learned. Not being great at math myself, I had no idea what he was talking about exactly, however, his excitement at his own understanding of the concept was palpable. Since then, I really have noticed a change overall in how he views school and homework, and I wish we had found Eric earlier in the year.

Eric really helped my daughter gain a better understanding of the Latin language, and introduced some other study skills that will get her to absorb the endless vocabulary she needs to know. He is patient and fun to work with. She feels a lot more confident now thanks to Eric!
