Nathan in one session was able to capture the essence of what I was proposing to study for my doctoral dissertation. I have really appreciated Nathan's willingness to think deeply about how to help my 11th grade son with his writing assignments, and more fundamentally, with figuring out how to master this intellectual challenge. Nathan goes beyond getting the task done and wants his students to have the tools to tackle the kinds of thinking and writing that they will need in college and even graduate school with intellectual integrity. Nathan recognizes that the technical skills for writing that are taught in school do not work for everyone and that at this stage, a student needs to develop his own system with some self awareness about it so that it can become a personal strategy for tackling writing tasks in college and a career. Sometimes the process seems slow (we benefit from longer, more frequent sessions) but Nathan is more of a coach than just a homework helper. Nathan is very smart, totally present, on time always, persistent and understanding.
