40+ successful years as a secondary and college teacher
I have 40+ years of experience as a teacher of English, Religion, and Philosophy in 8 schools and a college. Since "retirement" I have taught elementary school children in close collaboration with their teachers and in after school programs. I also teach at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Duke, a program for retired adults, sit on two Duke Institutional Review Boards which review protocols for clinical trials on human beings, and I play trumpet (badly) in a band for retired adults.
