I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Hampton University in 1985. After graduating, I returned to my hometown of Baltimore and taught Language Arts and Math in the Baltimore City Public School System and for The Archdiocese of Baltimore. I went on to receive my law degree from The University of Baltimore School of Law in 2001 and returned to school in 2004 to obtain a Masters in Nonprofit Management, which I earned in May 2006.
