She is always cheerful and kind and gives him lots of positive reinforcement. She takes the time to find materials (books, games, puzzles) that she knows will engage him and this really helps to keep him interested. After each session, Erin composes a detailed report of what they did and how he's progressing. This is emailed to me within 1-2 days of their session. I have nothing but the utmost respect for what Erin has accomplished with my son in the span of five weeks. She took a seriously introverted child who didn't communicate at all to people he was unfamiliar with and changed him into a socially curious child open to the idea of learning as she made it fun for him. She put his needs first and even suggested changing the length of the lessons as he was being distracted after a time. That showed me she was truly tuned in to my son to be able to notice that. I thought the first lesson with Erin could not been any better. The session with her was perfect! She gave me some great strategies for the Praxis 1 reading and math. I have not had a math class since high school. I took Computer Lit in college instead of math since I do not do well with Math. I am so glad that Erin has so many sources to use to practice. I feel more comfortable with Erin. I have not used a tutor for the praxis since 2003. Because I did not pass. I took two prep courses within a year and a half time period.
