Individualized Teaching Strategies To Enhance Your Childs Skills
Catching up and getting ahead takes less time than you think. Don’t struggle when 1 maybe 2 hours a week can put you in a place where you are excited to start the new school day because you know what you are doing. You can answer correctly if called on, you can complete that equation. Success is closer than you think, go for it! You know you can. And as always Remember: "Every Child learns at their own pace, and sometimes this pace is not keeping up with the pace in a classroom....

ADD/ADHD
Having a diagnosis of ADD and ADHD does not mean an inability to comprehend and retain information. It is a life style, and a process of adjustments, to achieve the ability to learn in environments not learning friendly to those thus diagnosed. Recognizing signs early, children learn to adjust as they grow. As an educator, I have worked with parents, developed a plan, and encouraged children to participate in their plan. When they have some control, they are better prepared to carry out day to day activities with a better attitude and more success.

Diana is very patient with my daughter. She takes her time and also makes learning fun. My daughter does not like school but loves going to see Mrs. Diana for math tutoring. She has learned so much since starting and I couldn't ask for a better tutor.
Celine K. from Upper Marlboro, MD
Mrs. Diana is an exceptional tutor! She comes always prepared and does not mind adjusting her learning plan when needed to address the concerns provided by my son's school. She is patient but tough and always works to bring the most out of my son during her time with him. His study habits have greatly improved and he is making good grades in school. She is the best and we can't imagine getting through the school year without her!
Brenda T. from Chesapeake Beach, MD
Diana is the best tutor. She is patient, responsible, friendly, punctual, professional, dedicated, etc. Every time that I am communicating her any request she is willing to help me. I am grateful to have found Diana. Her English classes are outstanding.
Corita M. from Huntingtown, MD
My son is in elementary school and needs extra help with English. This is the second summer we have asked Diana to help because she works amazingly well with him. She's very patient and I can see his confidence grow after each lesson. I really appreciate the detailed summary provided after each lesson so I have a record of the topics that have been studied. Diana is definitely helping my son acquire the skills he needs to succeed in school.
Ed G. from Chesapeake Beach, MD
Diana has shown great patience with my little girl. After two years with the same teacher with the same habits, my little one has fallen behind. Diana has worked very hard and progress is achieved every lesson!
Rebecca D. from Chesapeake Beach, MD
My daughter recently started working with Diana after a recommendation from a friend. She has been great!!! Shes very patient and understanding and very knowledgeable about all subject matters. I already see a difference in my daughter's grades, and she looks forward to every visit.

Diana started with us last year as a reading tutor and now a math tutor. My daughter would rather be playing outside than going to school or doing homework however, when she knows Diana is on the way she looks forward to the tutoring session. Diana comes prepared with a variety of learning materials and games tailored to what my daughter needs to work on. They are on task the entire hour, and when Diana leaves my daughter tells me about all the things she learned, even telling me the other day that she would like to buy the Math game Diana brought over to play. I would strongly recommend (and have mentioned her several times to others seeking a tutor) Diana as a tutor for your son or daughter!

My daughter is excited to go to her lesson every week! Mrs. Diana makes learning fun and has a new activity planned for her time.
Joan F. from Bowie, MD
Diana tutors my son (4th grade) and my daughter (7th grade), and they both really enjoy working with her. She is patient and makes learning interesting and fun. Diana has tutored them in all subjects including Science and even Spanish. I couldn't be more pleased.
LaKeisha S. from Bowie, MD
Since Diana has been working with my son his math confidence has increased. He is always eager to show her what he has learned. She is patient, kind, and learns her student quickly and comes prepared to keep the students interest. Additionally, she provides a good written summary after each lesson so keeping up with progress is made simple. My son looks forward to her visits each time. What a great find. She is a wonderful WyzAnt tutor.

We had our first session yesterday and Diana was great with our children. They actually seemed to enjoy math! There was instruction and some games thrown in to keep their attention. Off to a great start!

She is very thoughtful and patient. She knows how to keep my daughter motivated. My daughter describes her as "pretty" and "good."
Heather B. from Owings, MD
Diana is a kind and patient tutor. She always provides encouragement and praise to my daughter, whose poor self confidence has been an ongoing issue. My daughter is starting to feel more comfortable tackling math problems and is demonstrating improved motivation when it comes to doing math homework.
MIchelle J. from Bowie, MD
Great job with working with both our boys to get them ready for 2nd and 4th grade. Diana assess where they are and come prepared with weekly worksheets for them to complete during their session.
Wanda R. from North Beach, MD
I cannot be more pleased. My daughter enjoys Miss Diana and actually is excited about learning. Miss Diana is very patient and caring.
Amenda W. from Upper Marlboro, MD
Mrs. Gaither is very patient and truly has helped my son progress. He went from trying to pronounce words to actually reading. My son looks forward to Mrs Gaither's visits. I would highly recommend her.
Lynn M. from Harwood, MD
I appreciate Diana's patience and that she is always prepared. She even brings extra materials to help me work with her at home.
Monique W. from Dunkirk, MD
My son is 4 years old and learning a preschool curriculum. Since working with Diana his thirst for learning has increased; and I am beginning to see more growth and development than when he was just working with me or my husband. Diana's caring attitude and love for teaching children was apparent from her first visit. She is also extremely patient which I deeply appreciate given my son's high energy level. I would definitely recommend her.
Kristyn H. from Owings, MD
She can study anything with our son without notice. She's so flexible with test schedules and helping our son be prepared even when we spring test studying on her when she walks in the door. We initially sought her help for writing and she is now helping with all subjects. Even his teachers have commented on how helpful she has been! Plus it gives me an hour to play catch up for other tasks while she is here!
Pam S. from Chesapeake Beach, MD
Ms. Diana and my grandson connected right away. She is caring and very patient. My grandson looks forward to his lessons and our family has seen a big difference since the lessons started.
Amy L. from Owings, MD
My 8th grader saw her math grades increase from a D to a B by the end of the year and it was due to Diana's help. This year, she insisted on starting off the school year with Diana from the beginning and this is from the teenager who says she can do everything herself!
Hussein D. from Bowie, MD
Diana is able to connect with her students. She understands where they are academically (she is helping our son with reading/writing/ comprehension) and connects with their core. She uses material that is familiar to them in order to teach and to explain concepts effectively. She also builds trust so that the student is comfortable revealing their weaknesses. We are fortunate to have Diana join our family team! Kudos....

Diana is always well prepared and intuitive when it comes to helping Major. She immediately understands his trouble spots, and focuses on them; without making it painful, until Major can consistently work through them. She knows when to go back and reinforce previously covered techniques, and when Major is ready for more of a challenge. She's a perfect fit for Major's requirements.

Ms. Diana, your caring and support to my child is way too great for me to only say thank you. Yet, I want to say with much appreciation, THANK YOU!!! Thank you for planting a seed and contributing to my child's future.
Wakema W. from Upper Marlboro, MD
Ms. Diana is the ideal match for my daughter! She’s engaging, encouraging, reliable, patient and always professional. Ms. Diana asks leading questions to help my daughter understand the skills and concepts taught. The sessions held thus far has enabled my daughter to focus directly on the process of learning rather than the correctness of the answer. In addition, Ms. Diana is sensitive to my daughter’s learning style and explains the concepts from several angles; this approach has helped my daughter’s self-esteem tremendously. My daughter is excelling under her tutelage and I am extremely satisfied. I highly recommend Ms. Diana!
