I have a Masters degree in Special Education and have worked with many kids of all disabilities but primarily, have worked mostly with kids who have ADD/ADHD. The brain of a child who has this, because the brain is on rapid speed, needs to have the material "chunked" so they can process it into smaller parts, at a slower pace. They often times will benefit from a note-taker so that they may just listen to the instructor instead of having to worry about missing critical information. Often times, kids with ADD/ADHD will have processing issues and need extra reinforcement when it comes to reading comprehension and math, due to the multi-steps problems that can be a challenge.
