Matthew
Tutor in Finance/Economics/NASD Series 7
Hi, I began tutoring back in college, in the subjects of physics, chemistry, and calculus. It was a wake up to see how putting the same material in different terms or in a different way could help someone learn the same material that is taught in class. Since college I have moved into the world of finance, working as an analyst. I completed an MBA at Boston College in 2007 and am a CFA Charterholder. I enjoy tutoring in finance and economics, shoot me an email if you think you may need help...
accounting
I'd like to become certified in accounting. I feel like much of the accounting seen in business courses is managerial or financial accounting, which is more finance than accounting, in my opinion. Ive passed the 3 levels of the CFA exam, of which a large part of each is financial statement analysis. The areas of accounting that are not a part of traditional finance, or the CFA program, would be more on the tax/estate/putting together an accounting journal/etc side of things. I have no interest in tutoring in them anyway. But for the financial and managerial accounting, which are grouped on the website as "Accounting" I think I am adequately qualified.

Amazing tutor! I was failing my Financial Management class. I met with Matt for some tutoring sessions and his knowledge of finance helped me land a B in my class!

It was extremely difficult to find a tutor for the level of math I am currently taking which includes multivariate calculus and optimization. Matt, however, is great at explaining these tougher concepts, as well as, linking them to more simple ones. Without Matt, I would be incapable of reinforcing what I learn in class and I plan on continuing to use his help to this end. Anyone feeling hopeless trying to search for a college level math tutor? Your search ends here!
