I grew up in Boston in a musical family and started playing the piano at age 5. I began playing horn in middle school and switched full time to study the horn in high school. I attended McGill University in Montreal, Canada where I majored in French horn performance and studied with Denys Derome and John Zirbel, the associate and principal horns of the Orchestre Symphonique de Montreal.
