Marietta C. from Concord, MA

A year and a half ago, Robert W. tutored me in a graduate class called the Biological Bases of Human Behavior. Graduate school had gone swimmingly for me until that class. I was (am) an older adult, returning to school after many years, pursuing a degree to become a mental health counselor. I had not had a science class since 9th grade biology in the mid 1960s, and had struggled and failed at most high school math classes. Biobases as a class offered interesting material - at least, I could see how brain chemistry and the related material was important and pertinent to understanding mental health issues. There was a graduate level textbook that turned my insides to jelly, and brought me to my knees. All of my other subjects involved reading and understanding concepts and situations that made sense to me, and were understandable from my life's perspective. I had no idea of what this book was talking about, and had absolutely no background in the most basic tenets of science. The professor had a very particular version of what we were to learn, and we had to pick our way through this tome of a textbook, in addition to trying to take notes from a very rambling, disjointed and peripatetic presentation of what we were to know. Robert W. to the rescue! My beleaguered schedule could not stand any more driving trips or attempts at parking in Boston or Cambridge from my suburban town, and the fact that he came to my home on weekends was indeed heaven sent. He seemed to get what I needed to know better than I did, and was wonderful at drawing pictures and diagrams to explain things and break them down in a way that was more understandable, in small gulps that I could absorb at a time. Most important, he did not make me feel stupid! This was huge, as I suffered an old block against math and science in general, and was quite terrified that in spite of a great track record academically in grad school up to that point, that this class was going to be the dead end for me, my Waterloo, that I wouldn't be able to pass it, and would put the kibosh on any and all aspirations for working in the field of clinical mental health. Thanks to him and his kind tutorial ministrations, I passed it with a decent grade. About $700 was spent in 5 long-ish tutoring sessions, which sounds like a lot until the cost (and humiliation) of having to take the class again at $2500 is factored in. He was the perfect tutor for me, and I am forever grateful.

Bob is patient, very thorough, extremely competent and knowledgeable - is is an outstanding tutor. He is tutoring my high school daughter in science and will be starting a session with my other daughter in physics. We have been extremely pleased with having Bob tutor our daughters.

Susan C. from Medford, MA

My daughter has always had difficulty with Math. Robert has tutored her in Algebra, Geometry and Biology for the last several months and has really turned it around for her. He utilizes his time effectively while making it fun. My daughter looks forward to the sessions because his method provides her confidence in taking on problems that she would otherwise struggle with. I highly recommend Robert.

Anna S. from Weston, MA

This tutor changed our scheduled appointments a few times and I was patient with the changes though they did bother me. After that we did meet and I found that I was not very impressed. I just felt like the tutor was not there for me but to make extra money tutoring. I wanted the tutor to set the agenda after I told him my goals and past test performance. I did not feel that the tutor was all that interested nor gave a crisp tutoring lesson. It did not work for me. I did not find that this tutor had an agenda for how I would succeed in this goal. So I suppose if you don't mind working with a lot of schedule changes and more flexible approach, then this tutor is for you. It did not work for me and I personally would not recommend him.

Larisa R. from Belmont, MA

My daughter found the lesson to be very helpful and she enjoyed it very much. Looking forward to the next one. Thank you so much!!!

Deborah M. from Beverly, MA

This gentleman has now been my tutor for four weeks and I have excelled in my classes of graduate level Pharmacology and Pathology. Last evening Dr. W. and I conducted a two hour intensive review to prepare me for upcoming oral examinations. He proved to be more exceptional and patient than ever. I learn so much from our sessions that I have decided to continue my study with him for longer than initially thought.

Eresia K. from North Andover, MA

Excellent tutor, very thorough, takes the time to teach you information until you fully understand topic, and he is very knowledgeable.

Latif D. from Boston, MA

Robert was of a lot of help with chemistry and I believe that she made me understand the topics with more depth
