Ni Hao! My name is Jade, and I am a Chinese language teacher re-opening enrollment for Chinese lessons and tutoring from my studio at The Tannery in downtown Newburyport. I teach all levels and ages, from elementary school through adult coaching in private lessons and groups. Classes are taught from my “Jade’s Classroom” studio, which I founded some 15 years ago, and through which I have taught hundreds of students over the years. I have also produced two award winning, genera leading videos (see "Follow Jade"), and currently teach Chinese at the Governor’s Academy in Byfield, MA, which is the oldest boarding school in the U.S. and for which I developed their modern Chinese curriculum. I am a native of Shanghai, went to High School in Beijing, hold a B.A. from Boston University, and am currently working on my M.A. in Foreign Language Teaching at Middlebury College. My private student rate is $65 per hour, but also offer lower group rates.
