Patient, knowledgeable, kind. I like that she is teaching my son strategies to that he can become independent. She is a great "coach", building his self-confidence.

Gwen P. from Glenn Dale, MD

She really helped my son with his paper, and gave him excellent resources to use in the future. I would recommend her to parents who want their children to become excellent writers.

Theresa is very meticulous and patient. I have a Downs Syndrome child who has never been formally taught to read and already she is improving. Theresa is very experienced and knows exactly how to teach, with lots of encouragement and parental involvement. She has a passion for teaching and that is an invaluable trait!

I presented this tutor with a tough assignment. My son who has learning issues in English needed to take a placement test for college in less than two weeks. She brought her own materials, understood his learning needs, and worked patiently with him so that he could absorb and understand the material. Not only this but she was flexible enough to provide all the time we needed for this pressured assignment. She is wonderful and I highly recommend her as a tutor for any child or adult regardless of whether they need major skill building or only a little help. The placement test is this Thursday. I will report back after that. I want to add an update to the above review. That was written several days before my son (after working with B Theresa for only two weeks)completed his college placement exam. This tutor has to be the most outstanding tutor representing WYZANT. My son who has learning issues went from needing three developmental English courses for college to just needing one and he was only a few points away from not even needing that one. She explained the concepts in a way that he could understand and she even manipulated the process to reduce his test anxiety. If you need a tutor for your child I highly highly recommend this one.

I was very pleased after the first tutoring session when my daughter turned to me and said "Mommy I feel really positive about math", that was truly music to my ears, and after every session she is happy and encouraged to study more.
