In my 17 years of classroom experience, I have worked with hundreds of children with ADD/ADHD. Some methods that I have found to be effective are chunking of the content and the amount of time spent on that content, repetition of directions, a tutoring environment free of distractions, and self monitoring strategies by the student, and patience. I have also found that tapping into multiple modalities of instruction and student expression to be very effective.
