Excellent Math Tutor with 15 Years Experience

I am a pharmacist and worked as a staff and supervisor at the hospital for 8 years. I am very passionate about math and teaching. Even though I have a strong science background, I decided to direct my tutoring to math because I believe that a higher level of excellence can be achieved when the scope of my teaching is more focused. Also, I love to work with younger students, so I enjoy teaching elementary students in all subjects. As a tutor, I go beyond the confines of academics and e...

We requested that our third grader begin lessons with Angie after her teacher let us know she was struggling with math. After just a few lessons, we've received a note from the teacher that our child "is making great progress in math. She is really getting fractions!" We're so happy to hear this, and know we have Angie to thank. She looked carefully at our child's schoolwork and progress reports and focused her tutoring on the trouble spots, while also assigning more general homework to help reinforce general math concepts. I only wish she tutored in reading, as well, so we could see the same gains!

Ms Angie is a great tutor! I was struggling in dosage calculations (med math) and she showed me so many ways that I could understand the question. Once we spent two hours together and my knowledge started getting better. She taught me how to read the question and how to understand the question...I'm so glad that she helped me I passed my dosage exam with a 100%... my instructor was very impressed...so if you are struggling in dosage calc I suggest Angie be the person you can run to.

Nice personality, knowledgable in the subject matter. Always prepared when she comes. I am very pleased with her. She is a very good teacher, always on time. My son is very focused and always looking forward to seeing his tutor. I will highly recommend her to any parents. Thank you.

Angie has been working with my sixth grader for a few months now. He has ADHD and finds math to be particularly challenging, but he has made improvements this year with her help. Angie not only works with him on current math assignments, but takes the time to work with him on fundamentals from previous years that he never quite mastered. It can be difficult for him to concentrate, but Angie manages to keep him focused and attentive for an hour. She is always punctual and communicates well with both my son and me. I'm so happy to have her as my son's math tutor and highly recommend her.

Angie came for the first time to meet with my daughter on Algebra I and she was very focused and thorough. I think she will be a great fit for my daughter who is trying to move up to Honors math.

I am very pleased with Angie. Right away I can tell that she would be a good fit for my daughter. She is very patient and very observant. She was able to assess my daughter's needs and communicate them to me accordingly. My daughter seems to like her as well. I truly believe that she will be of a great help to my daughter! We will make a wonderful team!

Angie is very patient and good at explaining concepts. She is also very punctual. On the first day, she got to know my daughter and very quickly grasped her areas of weakness. The more she works with my daughter, I see the light bulbs go off in her head because she is beginning to understand basic math concepts. I see my daughter's confidence and excitement in learning math increasing. So far, Angie is the perfect match for us.

Angie has been working with my 13 year old daughter for a month to help her with pre-algebra, and my daughter is making great progress. Angie is a true professional and always arrives on time and ready to get right to work. She approaches the subject in a patient and encouraging manner and is understanding when my daughter struggles with a concept or makes mistakes. She looks through the work my daughter has from school and also leaves some "homework" after each visit to help reinforce what was learned. I've been very happy with Angie's tutoring.

Angie reviewed my son's entire Honors geometry packet - most of all proof problems were incorrect and had to do them again and went over the quadrilaterals - parallelogram, rectangle, rhombus, square- their properties and diagonals. Also my son learned how to find the length of diagonals with variables. He learned the properties of isosceles triangles - constructing the isosceles triangle, bisecting the vertex angle, and finding the angle measure, etc. He learned a lot of geometry concepts and did well in lesson.
