As a retired public school teacher, I have taught grammar, reading, writing and speaking for over 30 years. I can help you in these areas so that you will become more proficient in the English language. Also, I currently teach GED classes and many of my students are not native English speakers, but they have become much more fluent by attending my classes. They have gone on to become successful in reading, writing and speaking the English language.

I needed help with math. I had other tutors but I have to say Mr. Paul was so creative in his teaching method. I feel like he listened to me and heard my concerns then tailored his approach specifically for me so I was able to grasp math concepts. I would definitely recommend Mr. Paul and will use him again to tutor me in the future!

Mr W. has been invaluable with helping my daughter with her algebra. My daughter is in the 7th Grade, and is taking pre-algebra. She didn't take any of the pre-algebra courses in the 6th grade, but because of her exceptional scores on the PSSAs, was assigned the advanced math course. Couple this with the fact that she is almost a year younger than her peers because of her birthday, and she is at quite a dis-advantage. Mr. W. has helped my daughter immensely. He is a Master at his art, calm with my daughter, and very flexible and responsive. You can give your children many things, but love and a great education are things that will last a life time and can never be taken away. Paul has enabled me to give my daughter the tools she needs to be successful.

I would highly recommend Paul as a tutor. I consider myself to be one of the most difficult people to even attempt to teach. Because of my learning challenges I have had difficulty in the past understanding math concepts and found it even more difficult to retain information. Paul has been extremely patient with me. He took the time to understand what my unique learning challenges were, what my end goal was, and designed a program uniquely suited to my situation and learning challenges. I feel very confident that with Paul's ability to teach and the strategy he has design that I will reach my goals.

Mr. Paul is one of the kindest people that I have ever met. He is not only kind, but a great teacher as well. His lessons are geared towards you and go at the pace that works best for how you learn. He will go step by step with stuff that you need help on until you feel more confident in that skill. For me, I needed extra help with the math on the ASVAB because most of the math on the test is Algebra One and it has been a few years since I have taken that course. We went page by page in the math section and the stuff that I knew we flew by, but the stuff I had trouble on we took it slow and really got in depth with the material until I better understood it. Eventually, it came very easy for me to do. Another area we worked on was word knowledge. I thought he wouldn’t be able to help me with this subject because with word knowledge I always thought you either knew the word or you didn’t, but with Mr. Paul that wasn’t the case. He showed me how using the prefixes and suffixes can help you determine what the whole word means by only knowing part of the word. He was able to give me study material so I would be able to remember some of those prefixes and suffixes. I would recommend Mr. Paul to anyone that is in need of getting a better ASVAB score or even just to get extra help in some school subjects.
