Francisca has been working with my son for the past few months and his teacher has noticed (and commented on) the improvement in his work. While she only meets with him once per week, the hour long tutoring session has been sufficient to answer my son's questions, practice verb conjugation and direct his thoughts towards independently assessing what the teacher is attempting to get the class to understand. We receive weekly reminders confirming our meeting time and she has also reached out to my son's teacher to make sure she is helping him in the areas the the teacher feels need strengthening. Francisca is a great Tutor. I've been attending Spanish classes for around two years before I started to work with Francisca. The two things I like most about her: 1. She never tells you "it's like that, there's no reason why". She has an intrinsic interest to understand languages (she speaks many more than just Spanish) and if she happens not to have an explanation at hand, she will very soon come up with one. Very soon means within five minutes while you translate your next sentence. 2. She's a native speaker. There's nothing that replaces this feature.

Fransisca was an instant hit with my 2 kids, they are 11 and 12. We evaluated one other teacher, but ended our search when we met Fransisca. She is very competent, and a natural speaking Spanish speaker. What I really like is that Fransisca seems very happy teaching and interacting with children. She also has a good sense of humor and you really need that in our home. Also, she is very creative and responds well to my request. This is only our second lesson but I only have good things to say about her tutoring skills and personality. Also, she is prompt, she was always on-time. August 23, 2012 I wrote the first review after two lessons, but now my two children have had an entire summer with Fransisca and she is still wonderful! My son says, and I agree, that he and his sister learned more this summer than he did in school. He had 3 semesters of 7th grade Spanish and one semester in the six grade. And yet, he has learned more with Fransisca this summer. It has been a really good summer with Fransisca coming weekly. We even took a Spanish Cooking Class with Fransisca....so delish! They both really look forward to seeing her, she is so much fun and they are sad about not seeing her weekly. We hope that her teaching schedule will allow for some lessons, maybe before big test....she is officially their "Favorite Teacher."
