Carlyle was selected based on previous reviews posted on WyzAnt which all displayed nothing but great reviews. After 3 visits and a conversation with Carlyle on a few small issues we were under the impression that everything was fine. My daughter had expressed that after the conversation everything went great. A few hours before his 4th visit he advised us that he would no longer be assisting us. It was unfortunate that we weren't able to express our concerns and continue the sessions. Very disappointed!!!!!!

I worked with Carlyle in the Spring, 2014 as I needed to improve my initial ACT score. For my first ACT test I participated in a group tutoring class (without Carlyle) which was of some benefit, but the score I attained, 27, was not enough to get me accepted in the schools of my choice. With Carlyle's subsequent individualized tutoring, I not only improved my math, English and reading skills, but Carlyle also taught me how to take the ACT strategically. The time spent in the sessions with Carlyle just flew by. Most importantly, my ACT score increased to 34, with high scores in each of the categories. I came to Carlyle for help preparing for the LSAT this past winter. He had a very well thought out study time line and lesson plans. We worked through all of the different sections of the test using a few different prep books and exhausted nearly all of the practice questions in them. My son worked with Carlyle to prep for his ACT . His composite score increased four points after working with this tutor. Carlyle is very knowledgeable about the inner workings of this test and is a well educated young man. When Carlyle went over practice tests with my son he could always explain in detail why certain answers were wrong and why the right answer was right. This tutor is worth his fee. We even had him back to assist with college essays. I hadn't realized that Carlyle tutored essay writing. Anyway Carlyle spent one hour discussing the essay with my son and got to the crux of the problem. This tutor is both smart and efficient.
